Madamin

\ 3D printed lampshade

The lampshade is built on a simple revolved curve that rises upward, then folds back and cascades outward like an umbrella.

To add movement to the surface, we chose one of the most typical patterns of FDM 3D printing—the cosine wave—which can be executed without supports.

The rigorous parametric pattern is softened by the traditional reference of a lace-like edging, which completes the object with a touch of irony. The name Madamin evokes the bon ton of the most classic bedside table lamp.
