Lily is a floral inlay featuring a sinuous and seemingly irregular pattern. As is often the case in nature, chaos is merely an illusion: beneath the most surprising shapes, there is always a mathematical key.
The pattern is constructed with a uniform and polygonal tessellation, achieved through the parametric software Grasshopper. Thanks to this construction, the tiles can rotate independently, creating a continuous design each time.
With its polygonal tiles, the Lily floor draws inspiration from the decorative principle of cement tiles, offering the possibility to create different patterns based on the arrangement and choice of modules.
